I’ve been repairing and servicing office equipment for over 15 years now. Over those 15 years I’ve serviced everything from Fellows shredders to Brother P-Touch label makers. So I’ve worked on a wide range of machines. My goal on this website is to provide new or seasoned technicians and end-users a place to get some help on printers, copiers, and fax machines they are having problems with. Over the past few years HP and other have made it a lot simpler to work on these machines. I believe with a little help, some diagnostic aid in troubleshooting, and a place to order these parts, people with a little knowledge and a some technical skills can fix their equipment without the need of unwanted repair expenses when hiring in a service provider. While some of the repairs I talk about will be easy, others will be more difficult. I guess, at least with some knowledge of what your getting into, if you do have to hire a service technician to do the job you can give them some background of the problem. Hopefully, this will help get the problem resolved as quick as possible and if I can provide you with a possible parts cost of the repair. Therefore you have a better chance of not getting taken advantage of when parts are needed.
My main knowledge lies in HP machines. With that being said I am an HP and Lexmark certified technician. Currently, I am Okidata, Brother, Sharp, and a Xerox Phaser and Workcentre Authorized Service Provider. However, unlike some of my local competitors, I work on just about anything and everything so I would not say I’m an expert on anything but have a good knowledge on a wide variety of machines. I’ve accumulated a large amount of service manuals so even if I’m unsure on a problem related to a machine I usually have the service manual to point me in the right direction.
For the time, because of financial restraints, I’m unable to provide majority of the parts myself. I have another website where I’ve used Amazon to sell parts. So far, I haven’t had any complaints so I will continue to use them on this site. With every purchase through Amazon I receive a little commission on the sale. I would hope if you find the information on this site useful and you decide to purchase a part you would help me out an order it through this site.
All the information on this site is free and I’d like to keep it that way. With all the time I spent on these sites it’s important to rely on end users and technicians to help support this site. If you have found the information on this site useful, please help me out with a minor donation to keep this website operating.
Thanks for all your support.
